Party Dozen
Sydney-based duo Party Dozen are redefining the boundaries of experimental rock. Comprised of saxophonist Kirsty Tickle and percussionist and sampler Jonathan Boulet, the pair fuse ferocious punk drumming, distorted saxophone and hypnotic electronics into a visceral, genre-defying sound that draws on noise, jazz, psychedelia and no-wave. Renowned for their explosive, high-intensity live shows, Party Dozen have built an international following through their uncompromising approach to music. Their 2022 album The Real Work featured a guest appearance by Nick Cave on “Macca the Mutt”, while 2024’s Crime in Australia saw the duo push their sonic experimentation into even more dissonant territory. Fiercely independent and relentlessly inventive, Party Dozen continue to carve out a singular place in Australia’s underground music scene.
