Jeremy Neale | Grant McLennan Fellowship
The prestigious Grant McLennan Fellowship for 2017 has been awarded to Brisbane artist Jeremy Neale, adding to what has already been a massive year for the singer-songwriter.
Earlier this month Jeremy released his debut album, Getting The Team Back Together ft. singles Dancin' & Romancin' and Small Talk.
"I will keep making music, I will keep writing; I very much believe in Brisbane and I believe in the Brisbane community," Neale said.
"I will do Grant proud and I will do the city proud - I promise I will deliver the goods."
The Fellowship will consist of an award of $25,000 to a Queensland based contemporary songwriter or songwriting duo. The fellowship will see Jeremy undertake a trip to either London, Berlin or New York. The Fellowship has been designed to expose the recipient to the full cultural life" of one of these cities as a source of inspiration and creativity.
The Grant McLennan Fellowship is delivered through a partnership with Arts Queensland, APRA AMCOS (The Australasian Performing Right Association - Australasian Mechanical Copyright-Owners Society) and QMusic.
