Los Angeles based artist Empress Of is sharing a new cover of her acclaimed single 'When I'm With Him', by Perfume Genius, which is officially titled ‘When I’m With Him (Perfume Genius Cover)’
Empress Of and Jim-E Stack, who she co produced the original song with, teamed up with Perfume Genius to reimagine the pop gem as a sweeping ballad, all while retaining Empress Of's bilingual lyrics that capture the loneliness that surrounds falling out of love with someone. "When I'm With Him" comes off of Empress Of's critically acclaimed 2018 album Us, and the song landed on the year-end lists of Billboard, Esquire, and Pitchfork, among others.
